What is a Registered Dietitian?

A Registered Dietitian provides Nutrition Services; they have met the education requirements to use this title and have the knowledge to translate food science information into everyday practical eating advice.
 

Our Dietitian is also a Certified Diabetic Educator who has passed the Canadian Diabetes Educator’s Certification Board (CDECB) Exam indicating sound knowledge base in diabetes care/management and education processes.

What Services does a Registered Dietitian provide?

  • Healthy eating choices that promote good health at any stage of life
  • Specialized nutrition therapy for conditions such as;
    • Diabetes
    • High Cholesterol
    • High Blood Pressure
    • Gastrointestinal Disorders
    • Nutritional deficiencies (anemia)


How do I get referred to the Registered Dietitian?

Our Registered Dietitian can be accessed via referral from one of our Primary Care Providers, or our Nurse Practitioner.

8:45 a.m. – 5.p.m.

FRIDAY

8:45 a.m. – 2 p.m.


URGENT CARE CLINIC

MONDAY TO THURSDAY

5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

(We encourage pre-booked appointments for the Urgent Care Clinic, if you walk in, please arrive before 7 p.m. in order to be seen.)
